Youth dies in road accident in West Karbi Anglang district

HOJAI: Saroj Chauhan (21), a resident of Lamsakhang 1 No Nawaibeel village under Kheroni police station of West Karbi Anglang district died in a road accident on Friday evening.

According to information received from family members, the deceased Saroj Chauhan had gone to the Hawapuri market in the area on Friday evening for the purpose of getting his bike repaired. But on the way back home at around 5.30 pm, on the road near Hawaipur Higher Secondary School the bike lost control and hit a tree on the roadside. Saroj Chauhan died on the spot due to serious head injuries. Police investigation is on.
